How to register for the SAT from Uzbekistan
Step by step: College Board account, test dates, test centers, the photo, the device, and what to bring on test day. With links to every official page.
You register for the SAT directly with College Board, online. There is no separate Uzbek registration system, and no agency has to do it for you. In fact, College Board says you must register yourself: a parent or counselor can’t do it on your behalf.
Dates, deadlines and fees change every year, so this guide does not copy them. It tells you where each one lives on the official site.
Before you start
- A College Board account (free to create).
- A photo that meets College Board’s photo requirements. Test center staff compare it with you and your ID on test day.
- A way to pay. Students testing outside the US pay international fees; the amounts are on College Board’s International Testing page.
- About 30 minutes. You can stop and come back later.
Step 1: Pick a test date
Open SAT Test Dates and Deadlines on College Board’s site. The registration deadlines there apply to students in the US and abroad. Work backwards from your university application deadlines and leave room for a second attempt: College Board notes that many students take the SAT twice.
Step 2: Look at test centers
Use College Board’s Test Center Search and look at centers in Uzbekistan. Not every center has seats on every date; you see live availability during registration, so have more than one center in mind.
Step 3: Register online
Sign in to your College Board account and register for the SAT. You will:
- Enter your identifying information. Your name must match your ID exactly.
- Choose the date and the test center.
- Upload your photo.
- Pay the fees.
Step 4: Sort out your device
The SAT is taken in the Bluebook app on a laptop or tablet. Install Bluebook on the device you will use and check that it works.
If you do not have a device and can’t borrow one from your school, a friend or family, you can ask College Board to lend one. Request it at least 30 days before the test. A request is not a guarantee.
Step 5: Complete exam setup (1–5 days before)
Open Bluebook and complete exam setup. This produces your admission ticket. Print it if you can; College Board prefers a printed ticket.
Step 6: What to bring on test day
- Your fully charged device with Bluebook installed and exam setup done.
- Your admission ticket.
- An acceptable photo ID: a physical, valid document, government-issued or from the school you attend, with your full legal name exactly as on the ticket. If you travel to another country to test, it must be your passport.
- Pencils or pens for scratch work.
- Your College Board username and password.
- A calculator if you want your own. Bluebook also has Desmos built in.
Common mistakes
- A name on the registration that doesn’t match the ID.
- Leaving registration until the deadline, when nearby centers are full.
- Arriving with a device that has not completed exam setup.
Once you’re registered, the next question is how much time you have to prepare, and where you are starting from. Our 6-week study plan is one way to use that time.
